I just bought a Canon 24-70mm f2.8 L series lens.
I’m going to do another lens review, and compare the 50mm focal length with my 50mm f.14 prime for image sharpness, and when I get hold of a 16-35 f2.8 L series lens, I’ll be making some comparisons with that as well. Expect the review next month.
I know the 24-70mm has been out for a while, but I believe in the personal touch, rather than from a review site. I’ve already bought the gear so there is no ulterior motive other than to improve my writing skills, and to help other photographers with their lens purchase decisions. Hopefully, it will be online before the end of next month.

Bob Edwards interviewed Robert Frank recently.
‘In 1955, Frank received a Guggenheim grant to document American society as he saw it. After a few years traveling the country and shooting almost 30,000 pictures, Frank chose 83 images to include in The Americans. Frank’s photographs were embraced by young artists and some critics, but the book was generally loathed by the public as a cruel and unsympathetic look at the country (originally broadcast January 20, 2009).’ – weblink and direct download link.

I am all for doing my bit for the planet and I hate cable clutter anyway and this seems like a good idea and hopefully it will get the attention of device makers. Whether THIS is the right solution though is questionable but there does need to be a solution to avoid wasting resources on multiple chargers for all our gear. The technology is there to make multi-use adapters so vote for it and claim some karma.
